The Russia-Arab summit was originally scheduled for October in Moscow, but could now be held in November. Russian Presidential Advisor Yuri Ushakov said in an interview with the Yunashev Live publication that the Kremlin specifically plans to hold the previously postponed event in the same month.
“We are currently thinking preliminary about November, depending on how the situation develops in the context of the implementation of (US President Donald Trump’s) plans, etc.,” the Kremlin representative said.
The date will be set on the “recommendation of Arab friends,” Ushakov added. “We will consider all points of view,” he asserted.
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin and Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammad Shia al-Sudani, the current chairman of the Arab League summit, agreed in a telephone conversation that it would be appropriate to postpone the Russia-Arab summit scheduled for October 15.
