Shamhani, a former top security officer in the Islamic Republic who was seriously injured in the Israeli terrorist attacks on June 13, made a comment in a televised interview on Sunday.
Shamkani further warned that he was dependent on negotiations with the US, saying that Tehran was aware from the start that indirect talks with Washington were not truly aimed at achieving the agreement.
He went on to say that the US used consultations to create an atmosphere that encouraged internal upset and destabilization within the country, but “but Iranians were smart and disappointed their enemies.”
In the aftermath of recent events, Shamhani described the solidarity that the public shows as a sign of deep awareness rather than an emotional response, saying, “This unity reflects the enemy’s goals and the recognition of the importance of Iran.”
He emphasized that Iranian leadership was fully prepared for every scenario, noting that all operations were carried out according to pre-established plans.
The preparation reflects the country’s robust military and security stance against all forms of escalation and penetration, he added.
The top advisor went on to say he continued to be aware of the surgery and began planning a way to survive quickly.
“I was wary from the first moment and tried to design an exit. I wasn’t afraid,” he said.
Shamhani added that his wife and son were also injured during the attack, and he was unable to speak clearly at the time due to oxygen pressure and the shock of the situation.
He also admitted that he had undergone internal physical damage as a result of the Israeli attack, but said the Israelites mistakenly claimed that his leg had been amputated.
Shamkani further stated that he knows why the Israelites targeted him, but that he cannot reveal it at this stage.
“I was teaching them a tough lesson,” he said.
The Sham Crab first appeared in a failed assassination attempt on Saturday in a funeral procession of 60 martyrs who lost their lives in a 12-day attack by Israel and the United States on the Islamic Republic.
Israeli media claimed that Shamhani was targeted and killed in Israel’s assassination at the start of the Iranian attack.
