Khamenei spoke on Thursday night about ongoing issues in the country, region and world. The leader’s speech was broadcast on Iranian state television and radio.
At the beginning of his speech, Khamenei said that his speech would focus on the Basij Volunteer Forces.
He praised the efforts, faith and piety of the Basij family in various fields.
He placed great importance on the role of the Basij in Iranian society, saying that the Basij are a great and valuable asset for the country.
The leader also praised the Basij forces for rejecting bullying in the world system and creating a resistance against global arrogance.
He also praised the resistance movements in Gaza and Lebanon as mass movements created based on the ideas of the Iranian Basij.
Khamenei also praised the Basij’s support for the world’s poor and oppressed people.
Next, Khamenei spoke on several regional and international issues. The leader said the Iranian people defeated the US and Israeli regime in June’s 12-day invasion by remaining united, and said the regime and its supporters had failed to achieve their goals.
He said the regime and the United States had been preparing for an invasion for 20 years, but were ultimately the losers.
He pointed out that the Zionist enemies were the big losers in terms of material damage suffered as a result of Iran’s attacks.
The leaders also pointed out that the United States had also defeated the Iranian state despite using state-of-the-art military equipment.
He also touched on the issue of the Gaza Strip, saying the enclave’s genocide and its perpetrators are abhorred by everyone in the world. He described the Zionist regime’s prime minister as the most hated person in the world.
Khamenei also emphasized that the Gaza war has left the United States more isolated than ever in the world because of its support for the Zionist regime.
He said the Islamic Republic of Iran has never sent a message to the current U.S. government by any politician in the region, calling the claim “a complete lie.” He was referring to claims in some media outlets that the Saudi crown prince had conveyed a message to US President Donald Trump from Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian.
The leaders also recalled the United States’ role in the outbreak of the war in Ukraine, saying the United States was responsible for starting the deadly and costly war in the first place.
He went on to advise Iranians to help the government address issues and empower it to govern the country in the best way.
