TEHRAN – Leaders of the Islamic Revolution on Wednesday said Iran is key to Iran’s nuclear industry and overwhelmingly rejected the US proposal that Iran should stop all uranium enrichment activities.
“The first words of the United States are that Iran should not have a nuclear industry, he should rely on the United States,” said Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, a spirit us in Khomeini, which marks the 36th anniversary of the death of the founder of the Islamic Republic.
“Our response to American nonsense is clear. They can’t care about this issue,” the leader said.
The leader’s remarks came in response to President Donald Trump’s proposal during the course of indirect nuclear talks that Iran would not be allowed to “enrich uranium.”
