Tehran – In his annual message marking the beginning of the new Iranian year (1404 in the Persian calendar), the leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah named Ali Khamenei “Investment for Production.”
The leaders highlighted the important role of economic investment in promoting production and tackling the economic challenges of the country, and urged both government and public cooperation on this objective.
“Last year we introduced the slogan. This was essential and in some ways important. (However) the various events unfolded in 1403 prevented this slogan from fully realising.” However, our main issues remain this year, in order to achieve good things. ”
Looking back at the challenges of the past year, Ayatollah Khamenei compared the 1403 to the turbulent decade of the 1980s. He highlighted a series of difficulties, including several Iranian advisers in Damascus, the martialism of President Ebrahim Raisi, and the tragic events in Lebanon. Despite these adversities, the leader praised the Iranian people for their resilience, strong will and spiritual strength. This was evident in the overwhelming public response to these crises, including a show of historical unity after the president’s death.
Ayatollah Khamenei also praised the Iranian people for their ability to organize rapid presidential elections within the constitutional timeline, regaining stability amid the national agenda. He pointed out the country’s solidarity and generosity, particularly towards Lebanon and Palestine. There, extensive public support flowed to support those affected by the brutal Israeli attacks. The leaders particularly praised Iranian women for their incredible generosity, including donating money to support the resistance movement.
“These issues are extremely important and show the high morale, capabilities and spiritual strength of the Iranian nation,” he pointed out.
Discussing New Year’s priorities, Ayatollah Khamenei is an active participant who emphasizes the importance of investing in production, encourages the government to act as a facilitator and promotes economic growth when necessary. He highlighted the role of citizens in redirecting funding from speculative markets such as gold and foreign currency to production sectors that could benefit the country’s economy.
Turning to international concerns, Ayatollah Khamenei condemned the recent actions of the Zionist regime in Gaza, describing them as serious atrocities. He sought unity within the Islamic world to stand up to these attacks, and urged free individuals worldwide, including those in Europe and the United States, to oppose such crimes. The leader also condemned Yemen’s ongoing humanitarian crisis, underscoring the need to stop attacks on Yemeni civilians, and held the US accountable for making these events possible.
Ayatollah Khamenei expressed his desire for God’s blessing during the holy night of Ramadan, closing his message with a hopeful note for a year filled with progress and unity in the Iranian people and the Islamic world. Leaders’ calls for “investment in production” set the tone of Iran’s economic and social priorities this year.
