Ali Shamkunai made a statement in X’s post on Thursday. The day after Trump wanted a “very powerful” nuclear deal with Iran, he said, “We can blow up anything we want.”
“Accessing Iran’s nuclear sites and ‘blowing the infrastructure’ is a fantasy past the shared US president,” Siam Crani said.
“Iran is independent, has strong defense, resilient people and a clear red line. The speeches serve progress, profits and dignity, not coercion or surrender,” added Iran’s Chief Secretary (SNSC).
He had mentioned indirect Tehran-Washington negotiations on Iran’s nuclear program and the elimination of US sanctions.
Both sides have already held five rounds of talks mediated by Oman.
But in the meantime, the US has imposed anti-Iran sanctions, with American officials threatening military action against the country and calling for a halt of Tehran’s uranium enrichment activities.
The Islamic Republic has reiterated its right to the peaceful use of nuclear energy as a member of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT).
It also emphasizes that enrichment is a national sovereignty issue for Iran, and that this will not be stopped, the report added.
