TEHRAN – The national memorial ceremony was held on Sunday night, February 23rd to honor martyrs of resistance across Iran, screaming Hasan Nasrara and sailing Hashem Safiedin.
The event will be held nationwide at the Spirits of Tehran us in Imam Khomeini, coinciding with a memorial to two martyrs in Beirut, Lebanon.
The Islamic Development Coordination Council has announced that the ceremony will be held after the prayers of Maghrib and Isha at various religious sites, including mosques and shrines. The event is organized alongside a memorial to the Hezbollah leaders who were killed while observing resistance.
“The history of Islamic resistance is filled with acts of courage, sacrifice and dedication. Martin Sayz Hassan Nasrara embodied not only military leaders, but also respect, wisdom, and perseverance. His character was formed under Islamic leadership, and the revolutionary leaders made him a lasting figure in the global struggle against injustice and oppression.”
“Seid Hassan Nasrara, along with his comrade Sei Hashem Safidine, gave his life to the world’s imperialism and resistance to Zionist regimes. They would liberate Jerusalem and dismantle Israel. In their commitment of the company, it became a symbol of hope for the oppressed and hard-bearing.”
The Islamic Development Coordination Council emphasized that their legacy will endure while these martyrs pass. The Council is urging all people to participate in national memorials under the slogan “We are faithful to our promises,” and has made its determination to resist beating the Zionist regime. I’m reconfirming it.
Nasrara was assassinated on September 27, 2024 in a shelling in South Beirut, Israel. Using 85 tons of explosives, Israeli Jets levelled six home buildings in Dahie, following a week-long bombing campaign that struck many areas from south Lebanon to Beirut.
Safieddine was assassinated in an Israeli attack in October 2024.
Hezbollah postponed the funeral for both leaders due to fear of Israeli attacks on the ceremony.
