Tehran – Ahmad Masoumifa, director of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Northeastern Iran, proposed establishing a sister agreement between Mashhad and Saudi cities in Mecca or Medina.
He said such an agreement would strengthen urban diplomacy and promote pilgrim exchanges between Iran and Saudi Arabia.
At the ceremony commemorating the 95th anniversary of National Saudi Arabia Day, held at Misak Hotel in Mashhad, the Saudi Arabian consulate, he said: It has been reported.
Masoumifar added that Khorasan Razavi province, with 6,000 economic enterprises and over 43 industrial towns and tourism, pilgrimage, health, historical and ancient capabilities, could increase the likelihood of promoting relations with Saudi Arabia.
He said that his commitment to building a bridge of communication between the parties would always strengthen the view of the development of bilateral relations. At the same time as the formation of the New World Order changes, the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia can take joint measures to create and strengthen the unity of the Islamic Umma, preventing the efforts and interference of hegemonic forces aimed at splitting the Islamic nations.
Masoumifar also said that the joint action of the Islamic states against the genocide by the Zionist regime could lead to strengthening the unity of Islamic Umma against this criminal regime. The future axis of the world order is the transition from global hegemony to Islamic regions, he said, adding that under this framework, normalization and development of relations between Iran’s Islamic Republic and the King of Saudi Arabia will be appreciated as a major achievement.
He said: “Today, we celebrate the National Day of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and respect the country’s deep Islamic history and cultural heritage, because Mecca is the center of Muslim unity and solidarity of the world’s Muslims, and Medina is respected by Muslims around the world. It attracts pilgrims and enthusiasts from all over the world, among Muslims around the world.”
Masoumifar said promoting pilgrimage is one of the important ways for the bond between the two countries.
“By working together to promote pilgrimage to travel to the sacred cities of both countries, we can strengthen deeper cultural relations and the bonds of faith that bring people closer together.
He recalled the need to see the very positive cooperation of the Saudi Arabian country in the Hajj and the establishment of a flight from the northeast of Iran to the Revelation Land and the tracking of the Umrah Visa.
“The future view is to expand cooperation in the cultural and economic fields. In this regard, we believe that business visas are necessary to honor trade and economic delegations and to hold joint economies and exhibitions between the parties, particularly for the private sector of both countries, to promote and thrive trade between the parties.
According to the definition of interest in the brotherhood of sister cities by international organizations, it accelerates cultural exchange in the form of street naming, symbol exchange, cultural tours and other cultural programs.
