Al-Mayadeen reported that European countries had obtained draft resolutions to be submitted during the next IAEA Board of Governors session.
According to the report, the draft resolution calls on Iran to cease all enrichment and reprocessing activities, including research and development. It also states that Iran must fully comply with the provisions of the Additional Protocol.
The media added that the document claims that Iran has not provided authorities with any information about its enriched uranium stockpiles in the past five months.
The Iranian government’s mission in Vienna has warned that passing an anti-Iranian resolution at next week’s IAEA board meeting would be a “grave mistake” and another attempt by Western powers to politicize the agency.
“The United States and the E3 intend to introduce a resolution against Iran at next week’s IAEA Board meeting. This action is a big mistake next to the so-called snapback and another deliberate attempt to politicize the Board,” the Iranian government mission in Vienna wrote to X.
“These confrontational tactics are misguided and bring no benefits to Iran. If adopted, this resolution will inevitably have a negative impact on the positive course of cooperation between Iran and the IAEA.”
