TEHRAN – Fahime Roshan, head of the province’s tourism authority, said that a meeting was held in the city of Kermanshah in the presence of the heads of medical tourism authorities and medical staff in order to develop cross-border cooperation and utilize the province’s capabilities in the field of health tourism.
She announced a coordination meeting with the Health Tourism Office to strengthen the process of attracting Iraqi patients and showcase the province’s medical and treatment capabilities, Milas-e-Alia (CHTN) reported.
Roushan said the purpose of the meeting was to plan and cooperate to attract foreign patients, especially those from Iraq, adding that Kermanshah has a high capacity for medical tourism development due to its well-equipped hospitals, high-quality medical services, and geographical proximity to the western border.
Pointing out the importance of cooperation between health tourism offices in introducing the state’s medical services to the target market, he said that efforts are being made to design and implement a comprehensive health tourism service package for Iraqi customers, coordinating between relevant agencies and facilitating the admission process of patients.
In conclusion, she said that the constructive interaction between tourism boards, hospitals and the private sector will pave the way to economic prosperity for the province and introduce Kermanshah’s health tourism brand at the regional level.
