Tehran, Sep. 06 (MNA) – Santos activists made a sit-in urging authorities to halt steel cargo to Israel, citing its use in the military industry.
At the invitation of the “Campaign to Support Palestine,” a group of Palestinian activists and supporters held a protest yesterday in front of the city council building and Brazil’s port of Santos.
Protesters chanted slogans such as “steel for peace, not war” and “Stop the Gaza massacre,” demanding local authorities block the shipment of Israeli-bound steel.
Protesters emphasized that these strategic shipments could be used in Israeli military industry and could promote the ongoing war in Gaza.
The demonstration was part of a broader global campaign aimed at putting pressure on businesses and institutions to reduce all forms of economic cooperation with Israel.
