Tehran, November 8, 2025 (MNA) – The closing ceremony of the “You will kneel before Iran again” campaign and the unveiling of the “Valerian” statue was held on Friday evening, November 7, 2025, in Enherab Square in Tehran.
Crowds flocked to central Tehran on Friday for the unveiling of a statue celebrating the victory of ancient Persians over foreign enemies. This is a show of defiance against Iran’s modern enemy following its recent 12-day war with Israel.
Thousands of people filled Engelab Square to see the monument depicting the victorious Sasanian king Shapur I riding on horseback over the kneeling Roman Emperor Valerian, captured by the Persian rulers in the 3rd century AD.
Over Shapur’s shoulder, several stories high, stood portraits of an ancient Persian warrior and a modern Iranian soldier, holding identical spears. Their shields were engraved with the slogan: “You will once again kneel before Iran.”
