On Sunday, demonstrators waving the Palestinian flag and carried banners denounced the crimes of the Zionist regime. They chanted the slogan against the intentional starvation of Palestinian children, highlighting the worsening humanitarian disaster under Israeli lockdown.
Speakers at the rally described the situation in Gaza as devastating, highlighting the exposure of civilians, especially women and children, to daily genocides. Protesters immediately called for international intervention to stop Israeli bloodshed, and called for unlimited entry in humanitarian aid to the besieged enclave.
Participants also urged global sanctions against Israeli officials and severing Mexican ties with the Tel Aviv regime. They demanded that Israeli leaders be charged internationally with crimes committed throughout Gaza and the region.
The protests in Mexico have been part of the growth of a global movement in solidarity with Palestine, expanding justice and the end of Israeli atrocities.
Meanwhile, Palestine and international organizations have repeatedly said that the Israeli regime is deliberately starving the population of Gaza. The Borderless Doctor (MSF) said humanitarian facilities have been transformed into “killing fields.”
The Gaza government’s media office has confirmed that the administration continues to block food supplies and implements “designed hunger systematic policies” for 2.4 million people, including 1.2 million children.
Since October 7, 2023, Israel has fought a full-scale war with Gaza, killing nearly 61,827 Palestinians and injuring more than 155,000 people, the majority of women and children.
Last year, the International Criminal Court issued an arrest warrant for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Minister Joab Gallant on war crimes and crimes against humanity. Israel is also facing a genocide trial at the International Court of Justice in a brutal war with Gaza.
