TEHRAN – Minister of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicraft, Sei Reza Salehi Amiri, has announced that a $150 million private investment in the newly built five-star hotel in Nousar has created 900 jobs in Mazandaran, northern Iran.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony on Tuesday, Salehiamiri highlighted the importance of domestic job creation and the key role of private sector investment in accelerating economic growth.
“One of the country’s main concerns is employment, and supporting private sector initiatives is an important factor in effectively addressing this issue,” he said.
Nowshahr’s five-star hotel was fully developed through private sector funding as one of Iran’s largest tourism projects, the IRNA reported.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Salehi Amiri highlighted the government’s commitment to supporting private investors in the tourism sector, thinking it was a strategic policy for economic change.
“Encouraging and supporting economic and tourism entrepreneurs is an integral pillar of tourism development,” he added.
The Minister further described the hotel completion and launch as a successful model of private investment in Iran’s tourism industry. “The opening of this five-star hotel in Nowshahr serves as a prime example of how private investment can contribute significantly to the country’s tourism and hospitality infrastructure,” he said.
The newly launched hotel, 30 stories, 515 rooms and 1,200 beds, is being built on a 5-hectare site with a total build-up area of 110,000 square meters. The facility includes six restaurants with 2,000 guests, five coffee shops, two gymnasiums, two indoor swimming pools and a total seating in the amphitheater with 380 and 220 seats. Additionally, it offers a variety of recreational and sports facilities, including tennis courts, multi-purpose sports fields, padel courts, various sports complexes, indoor amusement parks and dedicated mother and child centers.
The perfect state of painting has long been a very popular destination for domestic travelers. Its diverse natural features range from plains, prairies, forests and rainforests that extend from the sandy beaches of the Caspian Sea to the rugged, snowy Alborz Sierra, including Mount Damavando, one of Asia’s highest peaks and volcanoes. Over 800 registered historic and cultural sites, the 338 km coastline, mineral springs in the jungle and mountains, waterfalls and caves are one of the main tourist attractions in Mazandara.
