Speaking at a ceremony honoring contributors to the country’s nowruz travel initiative on April 12, he attributed the Iranians’ passion for their country’s intrinsic charm and their travels to diverse attractions.
Salehi Amiri expressed his gratitude to the 1.2 million individuals involved in organizing Nowruz travel, including local government officials and representatives of 28 agents at various levels.
He said, “The government is completely committed to serving the people of Iran and prioritizing their comfort and happiness above all else.”

Looking back on this year’s adjustment efforts, the Minister said the challenges are minimal compared to the past few years, increasing public satisfaction. “This shows that the government sees its role as serving only the people,” he added.
Over 36 million Iranians boarded the trips during the Nowruz holiday season, highlighting the vibrancy of domestic tourism.
Salehi Amiri highlighted the appeal as a destination, citing Iran’s historic and natural diversity.
He said foreign tourists often describe Iran as “a beautiful, civilised and home to important historical and natural elements.”
Salehi Amiri concluded by highlighting Iran’s rich heritage. 23,000 historic sites will be accessible to travelers through 1,000 Nowruz events in 530 cities.
