Major General Yahya Rahim-Safavi said in a special interview that weaknesses were revealed in air defense and intelligence in the early days of the 12-day war, but are now in repairs and reconstruction.
He explained that Iran showed some shortcomings in the first two or three days of the war, but after the fourth day the balance of power had changed, and Iran had established a complete advantage in the final stages. According to foreign ratings, he said about 60% confirmed Iran as the winner of the fight. “In the first two or three days, we had weaknesses, but the balance changed from the fourth day and by the last day, domination was ours,” he said.
He emphasized that Israel failed to achieve its declared objectives – to destabilize Iran internally or reduce its critical infrastructure and military and nuclear capabilities, but Iran achieved its intended goal.
He noted that enemy command and control centres, power plants and terminals were attacked and the other side was submitted. He further alleged that “more than 16 Israeli pilots” were killed during the operation.
The senior advisor further announced that more than 16 Israeli pilots had been killed in the operation. He added that the enemy consumed more than 600-640 air defense missiles, and missile stockpiles were severely exhausted.
Safabi further said Iran is currently rebuilding its aerospace equipment and strengthening its strength. Air defenses, radar systems, missile weapons and some of the Air Force units have been damaged, but capabilities are rapidly regaining as new commanders have been appointed and reconstruction is underway.
He declared that Iran would not only restore it, but would increase its attack power in all aspects, in the air, in space and in other domains.
On June 13, Israel launched a blatant, unprovoked attack on Iran, triggering a 12-day war that killed at least 1,064 people across the country, including military commanders, nuclear scientists and ordinary civilians.
The United States also took part in the war by bombing three nuclear sites in Iran with a serious violation of international law.
In response, Iranian forces targeted strategic sites across the occupying regions and Aldeid Air Force Base in Qatar, the largest US military base in West Asia.
On June 24, Iran managed to stop the invasion through successful retaliation operations against both the Israeli regime and the United States.
