According to an IRNA statement, from January 22 to 24, 373 IRCS teams performed 284 surgeries and 136 people were transferred to medical centers.
Starting December 6, 2024, IRCS launched its Winter Relief Program. The program is scheduled to continue until March 10th.
A total of 4,500 rescue teams are participating in the program to ensure road safety by providing lifesaving assistance and reducing road accidents.
IRCS is a top organization
In September 2024, International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) Project Manager Faisal Mahboub praised the Iranian Red Crescent Society (IRCS) for its excellent capabilities.
The official said he was truly impressed by IRCS’s capabilities and wide range of activities.
IRCS is recognized as one of the world’s five prominent societies due to its wide range of activities and outstanding achievements both nationally and internationally.
“The League of Nations supports the activities of the Iranian Red Crescent Society in order to start a new phase of cooperation with the Iranian Red Crescent Society,” Mahboub added, according to a report on the IRCS website.
