TEHRAN – Iran’s Mosta Zafan Foundation and the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts have signed an agreement aimed at promoting economic empowerment and creating sustainable jobs.
The cooperation agreement was signed on Sunday by the foundation’s Hossein Dehghan and Minister Seyed Reza Salehi-Amiri, IRNA reported.
It outlines a joint effort to identify, support and finance 35 trillion rials ($35 million) worth of job-creating projects through participating banks and other sources from both institutions.
Dehghan said the agreement will help develop branding in the handicraft sector. He added that the foundation sees itself as a partner of the government in the development of employment, knowledge-based industries and technology.
“The growth of this sector allows us to take steps to expand support and increase job creation in this sector,” Dehgan said at the signing ceremony.
Under the agreement, the two countries will establish a joint committee of representatives within one week of signing to begin implementation and coordinate related actions.
Additionally, the agreement aims to support 17,500 projects and is expected to create around 26,250 jobs, the report said.
The foundation is tasked with providing a wide range of services, primarily of a social nature, to millions of Iranians. It is important to note that the term “mostazafan” is fundamental to understanding how the world is perceived from an Islamist perspective. The world is seen as a conflict between the oppressed (mostazafan) and the oppressor (mostakberan).
