During his visit, President Pezeshkian emphasized the importance of profitability of innovative products and called for quality improvement and export of these technologies. He also said that these technologies should be utilized to provide services to people in underprivileged regions of Iran.
The President praised the achievements of researchers and engineers and made recommendations to support innovative products.
Hossein Afshin, Vice President for Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy, said the first Emerging Technologies Exhibition was held to develop indigenous technologies and address complex national issues.
Around 80 knowledge-based products were showcased in areas such as health, petroleum, artificial intelligence and agriculture. Manufacturing these products is expected to save millions of dollars.
Known as the largest annual event in the field of nano and microtechnology, the Nano Exhibition provides a unique opportunity to understand the transformation of Iran’s science and industry over the past two decades. The event will be held from November 11th to 14th and will involve more than 150 technology companies in Tehran.
Iran has 400 active nanotechnology companies that are essential to developing new technologies and strengthening the country’s competitiveness. These companies are engaged in the research, production and commercialization of nanotechnology products, enhancing Iran’s global position in science and technology. We have made great progress in fields such as medicine, advanced materials, energy, and the environment.
The exhibition will showcase innovations across a variety of sectors including industry, agriculture and transportation, and specialized sessions will foster knowledge transfer and international networking among engineers, researchers and investors.
