TEHRAN – Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bakar Karibah has urged leaders of Islamic countries to break the Israeli siege in Gaza and end the dangerous times of humanitarian crisis unfolding in the besieged enclave.
In a message posted in Arabic on his official X account on Sunday, Karibahu warned that Gaza people are facing the biggest genocide in modern history. He said the Zionist regime is trying to wipe out the entire population of Gaza by starvation, as a criminal apartheid group.
The Parliamentary chairperson called on Muslim rulers to act immediately to support the Palestinian people, stressing that it is their moral and religious obligation to respond decisively. He said it was time for Islamic countries to rise up, end their passivity and confront the ongoing tragedy.
His comments are caused by a complete blockade of food, water and medical supplies, especially as they warn starvation, amid growing international concern over the hunger situation in Gaza. Iran has repeatedly criticised the Western government and several Muslim states for accomplices in Israel’s crimes through silence and inaction.
