BEIRUT — Meanwhile, Lebanese anti-resistance teams have launched a low-level campaign calling for Ali Larijani, the secretary of Iran’s highest security council, to visit Beirut on Wednesday.
Observers warned that attempts to prevent Larijani from visiting Beirut would encounter an angry, popular backlash.
Instead of mobilizing to condemn Benjamin Netanyahu’s statement that “Israel supported the Lebanese government in its efforts to disarm Hezbollah,” Nawaf Salam’s government is busy considering the idea that it did not apologise for not receiving Larijani in protest of the official Iranian statement in support of resistance.
Without a doubt, this reveals either a voluntary coronavirus by the Salam government or a complete obedience to the US and Saudi orders that prevent them from attacking Israel even with stance!
Saudi Arabia’s Yazid bin Fahan is reportedly behind a campaign to cancel Larijani’s visit, in conjunction with Nawaf Salam and Lebanese military leader Samir Gigea.
However, Salam fails to persuade Aoun to not receive the Rarijani. President Joseph Own rejected the request, believing it was exceeding all diplomatic standards.
In parallel, it was revealed that Deputy Prime Minister Tarek Mitri and Minister of Culture Gassan Salamé had fully adhered to Giagea, particularly the handling of weapons issues of resistance.
According to sources, Larijani has not requested a meeting with Foreign Minister Yousef Rajay (Lebanese military party), who has been running a continuous campaign domestically and internationally to apologise or apologise for statements in support of resistance.
Clearly, Saudi envoys have interfered with tasks normally assigned to the Minister of Information, such as recently ordered Salam to read the decision of the Cabinet Session on Disarmament of Resistance.
The sources also revealed that contacts are ongoing to meet Salam’s demands for future meetings with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to discuss how to implement the government’s decision on Saudi Arabia’s weapons.
In addition to being known about the influence of Saudi envoys on Lebanese Sunni lawmakers, it was soon discovered that Yajid bin Fahan will hold a major meeting in Dar Al Fatwa under the title “Sunni Support” for the Prime Minister.
It is also worth mentioning that US envoy Thomas Barrack will be visiting Beirut. Beirut will be accompanied by Morgan Ortags as senior political adviser to the US mission to the United Nations on the 18th of this month.
Ortagus reportedly returned to Lebanon on August 24, accompanied by Democrat Sen. Jeanne Shaheen and Sen. Lindsey Graham, known for his strong support for Israel, previously sought a nuclear attack on Gaza.
