According to a notice issued by the President’s Office, the house was dissolved on September 12, 2025 at 11pm.
The President has also revised the date on March 21, 2026 as a fresh parliamentary election, the notice said. President Paudel took the oath of office tonight as 73-year-old Kalki three days after Oli resigned from his prime minister following the worst uncertainty seen by the Himalayan nations in decades.
Kalki took the office and secret oath from the President in accordance with Article 80 of the Nepal Constitution.
