According to the Middle Eastern Eye, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu promised on Tuesday that Israeli forces will not leave Gaza despite mentions of their withdrawal to the “peace plan” approved by Donald Trump.
Trump’s plans to end the war with Gaza were announced on Monday, with a map showing three withdrawals for Israeli forces to be implemented after the release of Israeli forces.
The map did not include the time slot for each stage, but shows that Israeli forces will move to the “security buffer zone” at the edge of the enclave in stage 3.
According to the plan, Israeli forces will “gradually” hand over Gaza’s territory within the International Stabilization Forces (ISF), except for the existence of security perimeters that remain until Gaza is fully withdrawn from Gaza and become adequately secure from the threat of revived terrorism.
The language ambiguity has become clear, but the inclusion of Israel’s promise that “occupying and annexing Gaza” has not caused backlash from Netanyahu’s allies has been accused by Finance Minister Bezarel Smotrich as “betrayal.”
