Donald Trump told him when Zelensky first visited the White House, “You don’t have a card.” This asks the question, “How many cards did Netanyahu leave behind?” Because for the past 24 months he’s been burning the Amazon-sized forest of cards. He had no good intentions to start among world leaders, so instead resorted to strong aligning and forced them to support his agenda through the United States. And is there a bridge he has not burned to achieve the destruction of Gaza and the displacement of the Palestinians?
However, he and some Western leaders have held Gaza leaders accountable to honor the proposed ceasefire and plans to end the war in Gaza. The Israeli regime has broken ceasefires many times during Netanyahu’s reign.
The Zionist regime’s deceitful conduct and malignant trajectory puts hopes and beliefs in its ability to respect a ceasefire agreement at stake.
The Institute for Middle East Understanding speaks about some of the “ceasefire-breaking history” of the Zionist regime from 1949 to 2012.
1956 – In treason with Britain and France, Israel violated the 1949 Armistice Agreement by invading Egypt and occupying the Sinai Peninsula. Israel has agreed to withdraw only after pressure from US President Dwight Eisenhower.
1967-Israel violated the 1949 Armistice Agreement and launched a surprising attack on Egypt and Syria. Despite Israel claiming to be acting in self-defense against impending attacks from Egypt, Israeli leaders are well aware that Egypt has not posed any serious threats. Yitzhak Rabin, chief of the general staff of the Israeli military during the war, said in a 1968 interview, “I don’t think Nasser wanted war. He knew that, and we knew that.”
1973 – Israel is violating an agreement with “green light” from US Secretary of State Henry Kissinger following the ceasefire agreement that the US and the Soviet Union organized to end the Yom Kippur war. According to declassified US documents, Kissinger tells the Israelis that they can take “a little longer” time to stick to the truce.
1981 – Israel repeatedly violates under the Minister of War Ariel Sharon A nine-month unrecorded ceasefire with the Lebanese PLO avoided a ceasefire with the Lebanese PLO in order to trigger a response that justifies the massive invasion of the country that Sharon has long planned. When PLO’s detention fails to provide Sharon with a proper pretext, he uses the assassination attempt of the Israeli ambassador to justify a massive invasion aimed at destroying the PLO, the Israeli intelligence agency believes that the PLO will do nothing to the assassination attempt.
1988-In April, Israel assassinated Tunisian senior PLO leader, Khalil al-Wazir, but the Reagan administration was about to organize an international conference to mediate peace between Israelis and Palestinians.
2001- On November 23, Israel assassinates Mahmoud Abu Hanud, a senior member of Hamas. At the time, Hamas was complying with an agreement with PLO Headyaserarafat to not attack targets within occupied Palestine.
2012- On March 9, Israel violated an Egyptian ceasefire, assassinating the head of the Gaza-based popular resistance committee, killing at least four Palestinians, causing another violence, including at least four civilians, and more injured.
Israel’s ceasefire violation since the war in Gaza
Since the launch of the Zionist regime’s military campaign in Gaza and Lebanon, it has violated a ceasefire mediated between factions. In many cases, they began bombing despite agreeing to a ceasefire. We also changed the terminology that was already resolved and introduced new requests.
A ceasefire was signed on January 15, 2025, but Israeli forces killed and wounded dozens of Palestinians through airstrikes carried out by fighter jets and drones, including direct fire and drone strikes.
Just a day after the ceasefire, Israel continued airstrikes in Gaza. Following the announcement of the contract, the strike killed 73 people overnight, the Hamaslan civil defense agency in Gaza reported.
Twenty-four days after the ceasefire, Israel violated the terms 265 times, including military intrusions, shootings, airstrikes, increased surveillance, assistance disability and abuse of the rights of Palestinian detainees.
The Middle East Monitor spoke of five major violations, reporting “military violations, delayed scheduled releases of Palestinian prisoners, obstruction of humanitarian aid, blocked access to maintenance equipment, and Gazan’s movement.”
Israel’s 350 ceasefire violations in one month
According to an Anadoru Agency report released on February 21, 2025, the head of the government media office in Gaza announced in mid-February that over 350 violations of the Israeli ceasefire agreement had been recorded on January 15th.
In a statement, Ismail Al-Thawabteh said, “The Israeli occupation has violated the ceasefire agreement more than 350 times since it was signed, clearly indicating a continued violation of commitment and rebellion from the international community.”
Al Jazeera reported on February 27, 2025 that Israel attended consultations with Palestinian group Hamas and moved to the second phase of the Gaza ceasefire, which they agreed to in January between the two.
However, even as consultations proceeded, Israeli officials made its success at risk by revealing that they were attempting to change the terms of the agreed three-stage deal.
In a letter sent to the UN Security Council in early March 2025, Riyadh Mansour, the permanent observer of Palestinian state to the United Nations, accused Israel of violating the ceasefire agreement scheduled to come into effect on January 19th.
The letter stated that over 116 people were killed and at least 490 people were injured, Morocco World News reported.
In the OP-ED released on July 3rd, American conservatives warned readers, “Don’t put a bet on the Gaza ceasefire.” Netanyahu argued that he must always control his domestic politics, noting that while the war with Iran has been welcomed by extremists in his administration, ultranationalist anti-Arab militants like Itamar Ben Gwil and Bezarel Smotrich have been strangled by him.
The writer wants both men to jump off the Allenby Bridge, rather than to end the war in Gaza, the territory that both of these men want to occupy in Israeli settlements and annex as part of Israel.
This article concluded that the end of the war in Gaza would likely depend on Trump, who broached Israeli Prime Minister to end the conflict.
Israel’s ceasefire violation with Lebanon
Israel has also violated its ceasefire agreement with Lebanon. Under the first terms of the contract that brought a ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah in November, Israel was to withdraw its troops from southern Lebanon by January 26, according to an article published on February 9.
The date left, but Israel refused to pull the troops back. The deadline was closed on February 18th. Israel also condemned the attack, claiming that it continued to be bombed sporadically in Lebanon, targeting Hezbollah for ceasefire violations.
The conflict between Israel and Hezbollah began on October 8th, when Hezbollah began a solidarity strike with the Palestinians in Gaza, which was under Israeli attack. Israel intensified its attacks on Lebanon in September, assassinating Hezbollah leader Sayad Hassan Nasrara on September 27th.
Israel has killed around 4,000 people across Lebanon since October 2023.
The Israeli regime is still attacking Lebanon’s territory. Part of it is north of the Ritani River, where Hezbollah must move its troops north in accordance with the ceasefire agreement.
Can Israel praise their words?
In all the examples mentioned here, Israel always claims that the other side does not meet the conditions for a ceasefire. However, the Zionist regime has not produced any evidence to the contrary.
This is why Iran’s Foreign Ministry appropriately stated earlier this week in a statement that Israel had a “history of maliciousness and obstructionism.”
Hamas is trustworthy by celebrating parts of the ceasefire agreement, but who will hold down Netanyahu? Donald Trump, Israel’s biggest ally?
