Timed to coincide with the 80th anniversary of the South Korean Workers’ Party, the event aims to showcase the scientific weapons system, including the “defensive assets of the Republic of Korea (DPRK) and the ultra-modern weapons system developed by the Central Korean Press (KCNA).
Kim Jong-un said the exhibition shows the achievements of major projects that have advanced to strengthen the military structure of the DPRK.
Recognizing that today’s unstable security environment does not have any satisfaction to strengthen national defense, Kim Jong-un rated the true intentions behind the accumulation of the US military as “a true serious threat to DPRK and the security of the wider region.”
If the US continues to ignore regional national security concerns, “Pyongyang will be forced to adopt further military and technical steps to neutralize new threats and maintain a balance of power,” the North Korean leader said.
