In an interview with Oman News Agency (ONA) and Oman Television held in Muscat on Wednesday, Pezeshkian emphasized Iran’s determination to enjoy nuclear technology for peaceful purposes.
Regarding nuclear talks to reach a fair agreement between Iran and the United States, the president emphasized that international law is a fair and fair condition for every country to conduct specialized scientific research related to uranium enrichment and utilize nuclear energy for peaceful purposes.
Pezeshkian reaffirmed that Iran does not seek nuclear weapons in any way, but rather aims to benefit from enrichment in medicine, energy and economy.
He further praised Omani Sultan Haisam bin Tariq’s role in supporting peace efforts in the region and his valuable mediation in the consultations of satisfying respect and mere respect in his valuable mediation between Iran and the United States, and fulfilling both sides’ aspirations.
Iran and Oman relations have been deeply rooted over the years, and along with the shared bonds between the two countries, the president noted, saying that the meeting with the Sultan in Oman is “positive and constructive.”
Pezeshkian said his official visit to Oman is noting that Iran’s policy is based on establishing strong relations and cooperation with various neighbouring countries.
Iran and Oman are at a high stage of consultation and coordination on the political and economic levels on many regional and international issues through joint meetings and discussions, he said.
The two countries share a common and consistent position on issues important to the most important regions of the Palestinian cause, the president said.
He said there will also be adjustments to overcome some of the challenges arising from the sanctions imposed on Tehran and not only solve them through air and maritime cooperation, but also increase the volume of trade between the two countries to more than $20 billion.
The Iranian president says Oman will serve as a hub for the exchange and export of goods between the two countries, expanding to all countries in the region, Central Asia and across Oman to African countries, all and promote cooperation and partnerships.
Pezeschkian ultimately called on the international community to support the responsibility of stopping the genocide and massacre committed by the Israeli regime against innocent civilians in the besieged Gaza Strip.
