BEIRUT – Heartfelt Islam and partisan figures have not failed to express a warm celebration to Lebanon on the 25th anniversary of Resistance and Liberation Day.
However, the government has changed the term set forth in the Lebanese Constitution (Order 15215 dated September 27, 2005) from “Day of Resistance and Liberation” to simply “Day of Liberation.”
This is what the media, funded by Sheikhdom and anti-resistance figures, did.
Over the past few days, their political discourse has focused on the “illegality” and “fundamentality” of resistance, if it states that both south and north of the Ritani River, legalizes systematic liquidation of Lebanese citizens and the near-daily aggressive bombardment of Israeli civilian facilities.
The anti-resistance team has not hidden their intention to plunge Lebanese forces into a direct military conflict with resistance.
Paradoxically, they see military resistance, a historic and strategic opportunity to erase resistance from the national equation, especially HTS-led Syria.
They follow this approach with a complete and blatant neglect.
Clearly, the shameful performance of the anti-resistance team reflects the competition with time to transform Lebanon into an Israeli colony.
Their flawed instigation campaign also reflects the fear that an alternative to disarmament (which never happens) will strengthen one of Lebanon’s most important sources of strength: resistance.
Certainly, it is no longer surprising that this pro-Israel team is adopting the entire enemy narrative, but disguises their intentions by claiming that Lebanese interests involve submission to the offer of Trumpland’s imperialists.
This degenerate identification is not new. Even before the invasion in 1982, they have worked with Israel at every stage of the conflict. Therefore, the team has not bet on increasing pressure and systematic artillery fire in the US and Israel.
Meanwhile, the solid logic underlying the resistance expressed by Hezbollah Secretary-General Sheikh Naim Kasem does not need to accumulate and develop the source of Lebanon’s strength, and ensure Hezbollah is not under pressure.
In a speech on the evening of Sunday, May 25th, 2025, marking the day of resistance and liberation, Sheikh Qassem reaffirmed that it is essential to cherish resistance for the survival of Lebanon.
The bottom line of Hezbollah’s Secretary-General is that despite the media and political uproars of this nationally bankrupt team that openly adopts Israeli discourse, the resistance roadmap is based on reality and experience.
However, Hezbollah does not allow Lebanon’s future to be at risk by adopting options that will help its enemy priorities.
What this anti-resistance team cannot deny is that, as demonstrated by recent mayoral elections, resistance, which recognizes the seriousness of the dangers facing Lebanon, has a solid and popular foundation.
In short, if it wasn’t for the “warrior resistance” trilogy, the Israeli army would have reached Beirut in a few days, as in 1982.
