“President Trump took office saying that Iran should not have nuclear weapons. It actually follows our own doctrine and could be a major foundation for the trade,” Araguc wrote in X on Wednesday.
“As consultations resume on Sunday, it is clear that an agreement within reach that will ensure the continued peaceful nature of Iran’s nuclear programme can be achieved rapidly,” added the senior Iranian diplomat.
“Their mutually beneficial results rely on the continuation of Iran’s enrichment programme and the effective end of sanctions under full supervision of the IAEA,” stressed Araguchi.
The US and Iran are expected to meet again on Sunday for negotiations aimed at reaching a new agreement, starting April 12th, with five rounds of nuclear conferences. The two countries are at odds at the level of uranium enrichment.
