TEHRAN – Islamic Cooperation Organization (OIC) Hussein Ibrahimtah called Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araguchi on Saturday to discuss the recent Israeli attacks on Iran, expressing deep concerns and strong condemnation of the aggression.
According to Mehr’s news agency, the OIC chief described the Zionist regime’s military strike as a blatant violation of international law, underscoring the need for global accountability.
“We will work with the United Nations through the OIC to mobilize international support for serious violations of this international norm and help prevent further escalations of regional tensions and anxiety,” Taha said.
Foreign Minister Araguchi thanked the Secretary-General OIC for criticizing what was called expressions of solidarity and criminal action by the Zionist regime. He called on Islamic countries to take collective action against increased violations of Israeli international law and attacks targeting local states.
“The blatant violations of international law and the UN Charter, the clear threat to regional and international peace and stability, and the intentional targeting of civilians, university professors and nuclear facilities once again prove that the immunity enjoyed by the illegal Israeli regime only encourages more crime and attacks.
He also emphasized Iran’s inherent right to self-defense, and emphasized that the Islamic Republic’s military is fully prepared to protect the country’s sovereignty and will continue to protect the state until the invasion ceases.
