Protesters on Tuesday marched through Times Square with signs, chanting slogans against the war and chanting solidarity with the Palestinians.
They expressed their anger at Washington’s support for the Tel Aviv regime, as they continued to supply Israel with arms and have openly supported the war in Gaza.
One speaker at the event argued that the Palestinians would win because there is another front in the war.
A similar demonstration took place on the same day outside the White House in Washington, DC
Just two months after the ceasefire began on Israel’s besieged territory, more than 400 Palestinian civilians were killed and more than 560 were injured after Israel resumed airstrikes in Gaza.
At least 174 children were among the victims, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health.
The strike, one of the deadliest strikes since the start of the Israeli regime’s war in the Gaza Strip in early October 2023, took place a few days after negotiations began in the second phase of the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas.
The White House said it consulted with President Donald Trump before Israel launched the attack.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the updated air campaign was “only the beginning.”
