Pakistan is retaliating with missile strikes in India as the two countries approach an all-out war.
The powerful explosion from Indian missiles struck multiple Pakistani air bases early on Saturday morning, prompting Islamabad to announce a counterattack at its neighbors’ military facilities, including nuclear storage facilities, Telegraph reported.
Pakistani Sen. Shelley Lehman said the Indian target was hit “with accuracy” and added that the action was retaliation for “unprovoked” attacks on civilians.
The Pakistan Prime Minister called for an extraordinary meeting of civil and military authorities responsible for decisions on nuclear weapons.
The senior Indian civil servant was one of the reported casualties in India-controlled Kashmir, claiming that Pakistan successfully shut down most of the Indian power grid.
