Pakistan’s deputy prime minister and Army Chief of Staff Saeed Asim Munier S and Union Minister Foreign Minister Ishak Dal also attended the meeting.
During the meeting, the Pakistan Prime Minister reaffirmed Pakistan’s deep commitment to historic and fraternal relations with neighbouring Iran, highlighting the strong foundations of relationships rooted in shared history, cultural heritage and faith. Both leaders considered the status of bilateral cooperation across diverse sectors and expressed satisfaction with the positive momentum in Pakistan-Iran relations.

President Pezeshkian praised Pakistan’s consistent support and reaffirmed Iran’s determination to strengthen bilateral cooperation in a variety of areas of interest.
The Pakistan Prime Minister mentioned Iran’s president’s visit to Pakistan in August 2025, saying it would be extremely helpful in further strengthening relations between the two countries. Pakistanis were very pleased to accept Pakistan’s Iranian president on his recent visit, he said.
The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of further strengthening political and economic ties between the two friendly countries. He also reaffirmed the unwavering solidarity between Pakistan’s Iranian people and the government, reiterating Pakistan’s commitment to regional peace, highlighting dialogue and diplomacy as the only viable path to exclusion and stability.
The Iranian president expressed his sadness over the loss of precious lives and property in the ongoing floods across Pakistan, saying that the Iranian government and people are standing shoulder to shoulder with Pakistan during this necessary time.
