“It has been reported that India’s blatant attack constitutes a clear violation of Pakistan’s sovereignty. Such actions violate the UN Charter, international law and established norms governing interstate relations,” the ministry said in a statement.
Pakistan added that it had “fixedly” rejected India’s “unfounded justification” for hostile conduct.
“India was warned that such reckless actions pose a serious threat to the peace and stability of the region,” the statement concluded.
Previously, India has said it has launched a midnight strike in Pakistan and Kashmir city controlled by Pakistan.
Pakistan said the attack violated its sovereignty and reserves its right to respond.
At least 26 people were killed, including women and children, and 46 were injured in the military strike, according to the Pakistani military.
Seven Indians were killed and 35 injured in a fire exchange between Indian and Pakistani forces on the contested Kashmir border.
The escalation between nuclear-armed neighbors killed 26 people in the attack on April 22nd in Pahargam, India-controlled Kashmir. India had accused Pakistan of the attack, claiming there was a cross-border link.
Pakistan denied that it had something to do with the murder.
