The Palestinian flag is now raised on the grounds of the Palestinian Embassy to the UK in central London, indicating the UK’s perception of the Palestinian state.
The flag was raised by Husam Zomlot, who previously had the Palestinian mission to the UK, following a speech by the British ambassador’s Palestinians. Al Jazeera reported.
“With the Palestinian flag, join me in the colours that represent our country: black for our mourning, white for our hope, green for our land, red for our people’s sacrifices,” Zomro said.
“We are raising it in honor of the Palestinians’ honour of freedom and justice, and to honor millions of freedom-loving people in the UK and around the world.”
He continued: “We raise it as a pledge that Palestine lives, that Palestine will rise up, and that Palestine will be free.”
