TEHRAN – On Monday morning, the Zionist regime launched a missile attack at Farabi Hospital in Kermansha, the border city of Kermansha, the country’s west.
Some hospitals have suffered severe damage. Many of the hospital equipment was damaged and broken windows caused injuries to patients admitted in different wards.
Late on Friday night, an Israeli-fired projectile struck the boundary of Hakim Children’s Hospital in southern Tehran.
Iranian health authorities and humanitarian organisations have condemned the strike as a serious violation of international law and medical neutrality, emphasizing that targeting healthcare facilities constitutes a war crime.
The results of the “false slogan” claiming that “Israel targets only military sites and there are no arguments with Iranian people” have been proven tragically unfounded, according to Hossein Kermanpour, a spokesman for the Iranian Ministry of Health, announced on Sunday.
A total of 1,481 people have been killed or injured in Israeli attacks over the past 65 hours. Of these, 1,277 people are hospitalized across medical centres belonging to the country’s universities, with over 90% of the victims being civilians, Kermanpour said.
“So far, 522 individuals have been discharged from the hospital, while 224 men, women and children have lost their lives as a result of the attack,” he added.
The Ministry of Health emphasized that the human costs of these strikes are clearly inconsistent with the claims of “precision targeting” and highlights the indiscriminate nature of Israeli attacks.
