TEHRAN – A rally on the theme of “From Spring to Persian Gardens” was held at the Historical and Cultural Complex in Niavalan on Monday, attended by Senior Cultural Heritage expert Seyyed Mohammad Beheshti.

Based on the illustrations, Persian gardens are geometrically established in the form of crosses, he added.
He said there is a pavilion at the intersection or one end of it. He added that these axes have flowing water and trees.
Beheshti said that one of the distinctions between Persian gardens is the appearance of plants and nature.
He explained that there are trees in European style gardens. “We are witnessing green geometric mazes in European gardens. In fact, Europeans tame plants before they are placed in their gardens. These gardens show the domination of human nature.”
Beheshti continued that the Chinese gardens have different sides and are interesting. In East Asian gardens, plants are adopted as minimizing, miniaturized and moving like bonsai.
The concept of pots was imported from China, he said. “Before the Zand dynasty there was no pot concept for moving creatures.”
