At a ceremony bidding farewell to Iranian ambassadors heading to China, Azerbaijan, Ivory, Mexico, Cuba and Uruguay, President Pezeshkian said Tuesday that Iranian ambassadors are key players to strengthen relations and interaction with the global community.
The president highlighted the growing ties between Iran and the countries to which these ambassadors are assigned, noting that China and Iran have important possibilities for cooperation. He also mentioned positive developments in Iran’s relationship with Azerbaijan after his recent visit to Baku.
Pezeschkian emphasized that strengthening relations with African and Latin American countries is the focus of the Foreign Policy Conference of Consultations that should be pursued based on mutual capabilities and interests.
The president urged the six ambassadors to provide a thorough assessment of opportunities to expand relations and pave the way for increased cooperation based on bilateral interests.
He also asked the diplomats to identify specific opportunities for private companies in the country they are stationed in.
The six ambassadors also presented reports on plans to strengthen ties with the assigned country.
