During a telephone conversation with his Uzbekistan counterpart, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President Pezeshkian congratulated the Uzbekistan government and people.
Pezeshkian expressed his hope that Hajj’s pilgrimage and Eid al-Ada would foster greater brotherhood, expand interactions between Islamic states, and increase peace, security and welfare in all Islamic countries.
The Iranian president emphasized the common responsibility of all Islamic countries to support the oppressed people in Gaza, hoping that Muslim unity will condemn the brutality of the Zionist regime and strengthen a unified voice in supporting Gaza residents more effectively.
In response, the Uzbekistan President extended his sincere congratulations to the Iranian government and people about Islamic opportunities during the Islamic era, hoping for peace, tranquility and solidarity in the Islamic Umma.
Mirziyoyev confirmed Pezeshkian’s stance, saying that if Islamic countries unite and coordinate their positions, they can effectively support the Palestinian people and help stop the crimes of the Zionist regime.
He further expressed his gratitude to the Islamic Republic for hosting the recent Prime Minister of Uzbekistan, and demanded President Pezeshkian to convey his warm greeting to the leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah seyed Ali Khamenei.
