The Pakistan Prime Minister was deeply grateful for the merciful, caring and brotherly efforts of the Islamic Republic of Iran to resolve the misconceptions and pave the way for a ceasefire between Pakistan and India.
Peshshkian announced Tehran’s preparation for Iran-India dialogue and cooperation aimed at strengthening dialogue and interaction between India and Iran and Pakistan, referring to the principled policies of the Republic of Iran in supporting the establishment of peace, stability and security in the region.
Pakistan’s Prime Minister thanked Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Aragut for visiting the recent visit to Islamabad and the Iranian initiative proposing a ceasefire and assessing the move as an effective and constructive step to reduce tensions.
Considering recent developments in bilateral relations between Pakistan and India, Sharif said that three wars have occurred between the two countries over the past decades, but none of these conflicts could resolve the major issues and issues between the two countries. He added that Pakistan is the opinion that crises such as the Kashmir issue, the disease phenomenon of terrorism and other controversial issues between Pakistan and India can only be resolved through dialogue and political resolution.
