TEHRAN – Iranian President Masuud Pezeshkian held a telephone conversation with Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on Tuesday, thanking Riyadh for his clear stance during Israeli military invasions against Iran and for his efforts in supporting Iranian pilgrims whose flights have been destroyed due to Kreis.
President Pezeshkian reiterated that Iran’s missile strikes against US bases in Qatar directly responded to Washington’s military role in attacks on Iranian territory. He emphasized that Iran had no alternative but to firmly respond to the blatant violation of its sovereignty.
He warned that Israel and the United States are working to induce division among Muslim countries, but that Iran is committed to unity, peaceful coexistence and regional development. The President reaffirmed that the Islamic Republic is ready to engage in constructive agreements within the framework of international law, without seeking conflict with its neighbors.
Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman stressed that Saudi Arabia had condemned Israel’s attacks from the start and actively sought to mobilize international pressure to stop the attack. He confirmed that Saudi Arabia, along with other regional countries, does not allow the use of airspace or military bases for operations against Iran.
While describing the missile strike at a US base in Qatar as a violation of the country’s territorial integrity, the crown prince acknowledged Iran’s security concerns and the pressure it faced. He praised the tensions for hope not to escalate any further and for encouraging a prompt reopening of diplomatic engagement between Tehran and Washington.
Malaysia reaffirms Iran’s right to self-defense
President Pezeshkian also received a call from Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim on Tuesday. Meanwhile, both leaders discussed the recent Israeli attack on Iran and their wider impact on regional and international security.
Pezeshkian pointed out that Israel launched an attack during diplomatic talks and mistakenly assumed Iran would surrender under passive pressure. He said the Zionist regime and its allies miscalculated the resolve of the Iranian people.
“They relied on internal insecurities, but our people were united. Despite economic difficulties and legitimate complaints, the Iranian state showed determination and solidarity and conveyed a clear message to the enemy,” Pezeshkian said.
He criticized the Western government for the silence in the face of targeted assassination of Iranian scientists and civilians. He also denounced the United States for its direct involvement in Iran’s attacks on nuclear sites, calling such behavior a serious violation of international norms.
Prime Minister Anwar expressed strong support for Iran’s right to defend its sovereignty. He condemned Israel’s attacks, expressed concern over double standards in nuclear policy, pointing to contradictions in Israel’s complete nuclear capabilities and efforts by other countries to block access to peaceful nuclear energy.
“The resilience of the Iranian people is a source of pride for all Muslims,” Anwar said it reaffirmed Malaysia’s commitment to justice and international legality.
United Arab Emirates and Iran discuss peace, sovereignty and cooperation over the phone
President Pezeshkian held a telephone conversation with UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan on Tuesday, expressing his hopes of continuing abdication in the region following the recent suspension of hostilities, highlighting Iran’s commitment to peace and neighbouring cooperation.
In his call, Pezeshkian said Iran saw the United Arab Emirates and the entire region as brothers and repeated his respect for the sovereignty of all states. He emphasized that Iran’s recent missile strikes against US bases in Qatar were not intended for neighboring countries, but were a direct and necessary response to US participation in attacks on Iranian soil.
He emphasized that Iran is seeking a peaceful solution within the scope of international law and has never pursued nuclear weapons. “We can respond to attacks, but we also want dialogue and mutual understanding,” Pezeschkian said.
He urged the United Arab Emirates to communicate Iran’s position to American counterparts, emphasizing that Iran’s demands are limited to its legitimate rights.
In response, Sheikh Mohammed praised President Pezeshkian’s gentle and rational approach to the crisis, agreeing that the right to self-defense is fundamental. He welcomed Iran’s outreach to Qatar and called for stronger regional cooperation.
“Iran, the United Arab Emirates and other countries in the region are neighbours and we must focus on how we can build a better future for our people through mutual respect and cooperation,” he said.
Pakistan’s Iran reaffirms unity and calls for a diplomatic solution
On Tuesday, President Pezeshkian held a telephone conversation with Pakistan Prime Minister Shebaz Sharif, during which the two leaders discussed the ongoing regional crisis and emphasized the need for unity among Muslim countries in the face of foreign intervention.
President Pezeshkian thanked Pakistan for his unstable support and for his clear condemnation of Israel and the US attacks. He said during negotiations it was revealed that Washington not only supported the actions of the Zionist regime, but also ultimately took part in an attack on Iran.
“In response to that direct attack, we were reluctantly forced to attack the largest American base in the region on Qatar’s territory, our friend and neighbor,” Pezeshkian said.
He warned that foreign military bases in the region are often used as tools to cause instability and division. The president reiterated Iran’s belief that diplomacy, regional unity and Islamic solidarity are essential to establish peace and promote development.
Prime Minister Sharif reaffirmed his condemnation of Pakistan’s military attacks and expressed his hope that the current suspension of hostility will be retained. He emphasized the importance of resolving conflicts through dialogue and protecting the legitimate rights of the Iranian people.
“Only through diplomacy we can achieve lasting peace,” Sharif said. “We will support stable solutions and protect the future of our local communities in the hopes of collective efforts of Muslim leaders.”
