“Regretfully, I learned about the crash in the passenger seat in the Amur region of Russia. As a result, all 49 people were on board. On behalf of the people and government of the Islamic Republic of Iran, I would like to extend my sincere feelings of sadness and sympathy, especially to the families of this victim.
“I pray to the Almighty God for mercy and peace for the deceased, and for the patience and comfort of their families,” he added.
Earlier on Friday, Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghey expressed his sadness to the families of the 49 victims of a passenger crash in the Amur region of Russia.
Baghey expressed deep sadness over the tragic incident and spread sympathy to the people and government of the Russian Federation.
All passengers on the plane were confirmed to have died Thursday after the plane crashed in Russia’s Far Eastern region.
