President Pezeshkian commented on the bystanders of the Third Caspian Economic Forum during a meeting between Tehran’s Minister Hojamirat Gerdimiradou and Turkmenistan’s Deputy Minister on Tuesday.
President Pezeshkian praised the commitment of Gurbanguly Berdimumhamedow, the national leader of the Turkmen people, to strengthen relations with Iran, and said the Islamic Republic is determined to strengthen cooperation with this neighbouring country.
The Iranian president called for greater cooperation in the economic, trade, cultural and scientific sectors, noting that the two countries could be important to deepen relations and increase trade volumes.
Gerdi Miradou, on his side, gave a warm greeting from the Turkmenistan national leader and president to President Pezeshkian, and announced that the third Caspian Economic Forum would promote the development of relations in the coastal provinces of the Caspian Sea.
He also highlights the importance of joint projects in the energy and transportation sector, and emphasizes that Turkmenistan considers Iran not only as a neighbor but as a strategic partner.
