The incident occurred around 10:30pm near the intersection of Lemon Hill Drive and Poplar Drive, according to the Philadelphia Police Department.
Authorities confirmed that at least two juveniles were among the injured. The identity and age of the deceased have not yet been released.
Police have not confirmed whether an arrest was made in connection with the shooting, and the motive remains unknown.
Aviation footage from local media showed police presence at the scene, with investigators sealing a large area of the park while searching for evidence.
The Philadelphia shooting comes a day after another mass shooting occurred in Little River, South Carolina, a small beach town about 20 miles northeast of Myrtle Beach.
At least 11 people were taken to the hospital on Sunday night. This comes after a gunfire erupted near a boat dock along the underlying waterway. Authorities say more casualties may have arrived at the hospital in their own cars.
