Photojournalist Adam Zakaria Abu Harvid was marching after Israeli fighters bombed a family tent in Gaza’s Yarmuk region on Thursday evening, according to the Palestinian intelligence centre.
Medical sources reported that four Palestinians, including journalist Abu Harvid, had martyred as a result of targeting displaced tents in Gaza’s new Yarmuk market.
The photojournalist previously worked for Al-Quds TV, and later worked for Al-Quds Today TV. Before his martialism, he provided live broadcast services to several television channels through his company in Gaza.
In Abu Harvid’s martialism, the number of journalists who have been martyred since the beginning of the war of genocide in the Gaza Strip rose to 234.
In a statement, the Government Media Office (GMO) strongly condemned the systematic assassination of Palestinian journalists by Israeli occupation forces and called on the International Federation of Journalists, the Federation of Arab Journalists and all journalistic organizations around the world to condemn these systemic crimes against journalists and media experts on the Gaza Strip.
The office had Israel, the United States, the UK, Germany and France fully responsible for these heinous, wild crimes.
It was also sought by the international community, international organizations, and all institutions involved in journalism and media around the world to condemn and stop Israel’s crimes, pursue them in international courts for ongoing crimes, and lead the perpetrators to trial.
The GMO also called for serious and effective international pressure to halt genocide, protect journalists and media workers in Gaza, and to stop murder and assassination crimes.
