According to the Daily Bangkok Post, one person on the helicopter reportedly parachuted into the safety of Prachuap Kiri Khan province before the aircraft crashed.
However, the individual’s location and status remain unknown.
According to the Fire & Rescue The Facebook page, the two deceased, identified as Pratuang Chulet and Songpol Boonchai, were pilots, while the third victim was identified as a mechanic for Thinakrit Suwannoi.
The clash occurred around 1pm local time (0600GMT) in Nongkok village in AO Noi district, Muang district.
When the fire engulfed the Bell 212 helicopter after the collision, a fire engine was dispatched to the crash site to contain the fire.
According to authorities cited by the media outlet, the helicopter departed from Surat Thani International Airport to the Kanchanaburi Police Air Unit.
The incident marks the second police aircraft crash in the state this year. Six police officers were killed on April 25th when another aircraft dropped.
