This important rise underscores the Ministry of Oil’s preparations to ensure a stable energy supply across the country.
The supply and management of liquid fuel reserves at the power plant is the key responsibility of the Ministry of Oil as part of the national energy supply chain. Amidst growing supply and demand challenges, the Ministry’s efforts to expand storage capacity, optimize resources and implement sustainable policies have been important in maintaining energy stability.
The latest figures show that over 2 billion liters of diesel were delivered to the power plant from March 21st to May 21st. This is a 42% increase (600 million liters) compared to 1.4 billion liters supplied in the same period last year.
Furthermore, about 1.8 billion litres of matt was delivered over the same two months, up 52% (600 million litres) from last year’s 1.2 billion litres.
