He emphasized that the National Prayer Conference is one of the most beneficial gatherings in the country and that the day is held on the most blessed day of the year due to the prominence and importance of this meaningful and life-giving obligation among Islamic obligations.
He encouraged worshipers to pray on time and maintain concentration and full attention during prayers so that prayers can impact the hearts, souls and actions of individuals and as a society. Imam Khamenei said this is especially important for young people.
The text of the leader’s message is as follows.
Praise be to God that this blessed series of prayer meetings has continued over the years and that Mr. Kalaati’s sincere efforts have borne fruit. As expected, the prayer meeting continues and it is expected that the blessings from the prayer meeting will continue.
What I strongly recommend is, firstly, to pray at the beginning of the prescribed time, and secondly, to try to maintain concentration and presence of mind (during prayer).
Worshipers should remember that they are the owners of the entire universe and are speaking to the Lord of the Day of Resurrection. Prayer with these two characteristics affects the hearts and souls of worshipers and influences their behavior as individuals and in society. This recommendation is especially important for young people. It is hoped that Almighty God will grant them success in doing this.
