At a ceremony to receive the status of Ivory Coast’s new ambassador in Tehran Tamakolo Ouattara on Tuesday, President Pezeshkian emphasized the importance of developing relations with African countries as a key priority of Iran’s foreign policy.
Pezeshkian hoped that the new ambassador would be enthusiastic about these objectives during his mission. The President emphasized the activation of the Joint Economic Commission as a necessary step to develop policies and frameworks for cooperation between the two countries.
The President reaffirmed that Iran consistently emphasizes ethical principles, human relations, peace, tranquility and global security in its efforts to expand relations with all countries. He expressed optimism that the ambassador’s presence in Iran would pave the way for deepening friendly relations and expanding joint cooperation in various fields.
In response, the Ambassador conveyed warm greetings to President Pezeshkian from the President of Arasen Ouattara on the Ivory Coast, underscoring the belief that diplomacy should serve mutual interests and strengthen friendship between nations. He expressed his strong commitment to carry out this important mission in Iran.
Ouattara also acknowledged Iran’s prominent position in regional and international relations and its vast domestic potential. He reiterated the Ivory Coast’s interest in further developing cooperation with Iran and saw the role of the Islamic Republic as an inspiration.
The Ambassador said that plans for a joint economic commission between the two countries are underway and are committed to strengthening cooperation in all areas, especially in agriculture and agriculture.
