The only solution to the Palestinian cause is the establishment of an independent and sovereign Palestinian state with geographical integrity, based on the 1967 borders and with al-Quds as its capital.
Turkey will work with the United States and Persian Gulf states to coordinate efforts to rebuild Gaza following a ceasefire agreement that ended more than two years of conflict, Turkey Today said.
“Of course, we will discuss this matter with the United States and the Persian Gulf countries and decide what measures to take on this issue,” Erdoğan said Tuesday at the training program of the AK Party’s Economic Directorate at party headquarters.
President Erdoğan noted that rebuilding Palestine is likely to take several years and that the process will have both a construction phase and a reconstruction phase.
“Turkey has an important obligation here,” Erdogan said. “As Türkiye, we are working towards this and with this understanding we will closely follow every step of the process.”
Despite two years of suffering, massacres and persecution, President Erdoğan said he considered the ceasefire in Gaza to be of great value and stressed the need for international cooperation to heal Palestine’s wounds.
“Right now, we all need to heal Palestine’s wounds, rebuild Gaza and provide a lifeline to our compatriots in Gaza,” Erdoğan said.
