TEHRAN – Iranian President Masuud Pezeshkian emphasized the importance of national unity and public engagement during a cabinet session held on Tuesday, saying unity and solidarity allow the country to overcome any crisis.
Pezeshkian emphasized that all efforts of the government should focus on maintaining national unity, emphasizing that support from the people is essential to the stability of the nation. “If people stand by us, challenges will not put the country at risk,” he said. “It is my firm belief that by unity of the nation, all crises can be overcome.”
Pezeshkian urged all officials, particularly those in charge of social welfare agencies such as the Imam Khomeni Relief Foundation and the Iranian National Welfare Agency, to be vigilant and respond promptly to any incidents and hardships that affect citizens.
“It is essential that people know their officials are by their side and strive to create the right conditions for them,” the president emphasized.
Pezeschkian also spread his appreciation for expressions of solidarity and support from various countries, particularly their neighbors, following what he described as a recent crime committed by Israel’s Zionist regime.
Elsewhere in his remarks, the president urged (related) ministers to continue and expand diplomatic engagements, particularly to neighboring states.
Emphasizing the need for decentralization, Pezeschkian directed the minister to delegate sufficient authority to local officials and their delegations, allowing for more efficient decision-making in all sectors.
Upon closing the session, the President reminded all officials to strictly adhere to security protocols and safeguards, as required by the relevant authorities, to prevent potential risks.
Cabinet sessions attended by all ministers and the Vice President also led to the issuance of directives aimed at considering the latest developments and promoting ongoing government issues.
